A rewards program you can actually change
A rewards program is only as good as your ability to change it. Seasonal prizes. A new sponsor. A partner who wants in for one month. A prize that turned out to be far more popular than you planned for. None of that fits a submit-a-request-and-wait workflow – and rewards used to live in our admin, which meant every one of those moments went through us.
The full editor, in your hands
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name & description | What the visitor sees. Both translatable. |
| Photo | One image per reward. Make it look worth earning. |
| Point value | What it costs to redeem. |
| Pickup location | Free text – a visitor center, a partner counter, or “we’ll mail it.” |
| Start & end dates | Optional run window. Outside it, the reward can’t be redeemed. |
| Require login to redeem | Keeps prizes tied to a real, contactable account. |
| Submission form | Build your own fields – the same builder as challenge submissions. |
| Published status | Draft it now, flip it live when you’re ready. |
Build the claim, not just the prize

The submission form is where a reward stops being a prize and starts being a marketing asset. Ask for the shirt size you’ll need. Ask which visitor center they’ll swing by. Ask the one question your team always wishes it had asked. Whatever fields you add, the visitor fills them out at redemption and the answers arrive attached to the claim.
Confirmation goes out automatically, so nobody’s left wondering whether it worked.
Ideas worth stealing
- Tier it. A sticker at 50, a shirt at 200, a stay-and-play package at 600. The ladder is what keeps people climbing.
- Let a partner sponsor a tier. A brewery covering the mid-tier reward gets its name in front of every visitor working toward it.
- Run a limited window. A two-week reward creates a reason to move now instead of someday – that’s what the date range is for.
- Retire and refresh. Unpublish a reward and stand up a new one between seasons. It takes a minute, and it’s yours to do.
Good to know
- Rewards aren’t tied to a specific goal. Points accumulate across your point-based goals and spend against any available reward – the arcade model, on purpose.
- Login to redeem is the safe default. It’s how you make sure a claim maps to a real person you can reach.
- Date ranges are all-or-nothing. Set both a start and an end, or set neither.
- Coming soon: customizable reward confirmation emails, so the claim receipt sounds like your destination instead of like a system.
