Frequently Asked Questions

We connect our Sync Engine with your website or CRM to automatically import attractions and events into our system.  The sync runs daily to check for any updates or changes that have been made and seamlessly refreshes the content across the widget, branded apps and interactive kiosk.  Designed for maximum flexibility, you can also create & edit new content via admin mode in the widget for anything that does not already exist on your website/CRM.

In our Analytics Dashboard, you will have access to widget/app usage metrics including: total users, average session duration, number of sessions, pageviews and app downloads for both iOS and Android. Additionally, you can view usage by device (widget vs iOS/Android apps), see where users are using the platform, and whether or not they are new or returning users. You will also be able to look at the most popular items being viewed as well as any action taken on a particular item. Clients running ad units will also be able to track impressions and clicks. All admin users will also receive a weekly report each Monday detailing the previous week’s usage for reporting purposes.

Yes. Visit Widget can create segmented views of the widget highlighting a particular menu item, or section, drilling down to be as specific as viewing items only assigned to a certain category. We can also tweak settings on these views to do things like hide the menu, category filter and adjust the zoom/location being viewed. More settings can be found here: (insert embeddable maps url). VW will also help by sending a Javascript snippet to wrap the url with that will help to embed this as a page on your website.

Our typical turnaround time is 8-12 weeks from Kick Off Meeting to launch. That being said, if we receive client graphics and branding, data feeds, and access to the client Developer Account quickly, this can be expedited.

We have options! Typically when we set up a client the listings will be alphabetically ordered to start, making it easier to review content. Once live, in the widget we have the ability to turn on random reordering, which will reorder all listings daily. Admins have the ability to prioritize certain listings to show higher than others. In the app, we also have the option to sort by proximity to the user so they can view locations close by.

If a user has previously launched the apps before losing connection, the app will still launch and show content previously cached. Users participating in challenges/passports are also still able to check in and it will be reflected once the user returns to a place with internet connection.

Tours function as recommended itineraries created by the destination to highlight certain attraction types for the area. Examples are things like Things to do with Kids, Hiking Trails with a View, etc. All admins have the ability to create tours in admin mode by following the steps you see here.
